      A yellowish or pale grey powder or pellet with a pungent odour, soluble in water.

     Potassium amyl xanthate/PAX is a powerful collector with strong selectivity, widely used in the flotation processes of nonferrous metallic minerals. It is a good collector for the flotation of oxide minerals, e.g.: oxidized sulfide, copper and lead ores. Copper-nickel sulfide and auriferous pyrite etc also require potassium amyl xanthate as flotation collector. It can also get satisfactory results when used in Lead oxide copper ores. Commonly used in the process of rough floatation and scavenging flotation.
